We’re excited to release our first monthly scorecard as a zero fees fundraising service by the Telecom Foundation.
1,480 generous online donors gave over $123,416.78 to 155 kiwi causes on Givealittle.co.nz. That’s 48% more generous than last month. We were most generous on Thursday 22nd of November, which was the day of our re-launch announcement. The average donation was $83 and the largest single donation was $10,000 made to Parachute Music by an anonymous good sort.
The highest donations this month went to the charitable beneficiaries of the Fight for Christchurch event, run by Enth Degree. St John, KidsCan and Canterbury Earthquake Survivors Trust were the three biggest benefactors from the amazing fundraising efforts of 17 champion fighters who worked so hard for their chosen charities.
Now for a quick segue to the staff Givealittle cause pick of the month. With our proud history as a Wellington start-up we were chuffed to see Wellington Phoenix fan club Yellow Fever fundraise $1,330 for captain Andrew Durante’s undeserved fine. Hundreds of fans thought this was a worthy cause to support.
There were over 84 inspiring charity champions going the extra mile for great New Zealand charities and causes. Our favourite had to be Ben who is riding the length of New Zealand for Make a Wish New Zealand.
Lastly we rounded off the month 11,446 site visitors and a grand total of $2,551,707 raised on givealittle.co.nz.
